A bit over 160 indicated in a 55 zone -and who knows how fast that really
was? Maybe 150? Most motorcycle speedometers lie like crazy, and I *know*
mine does.

On a race track or on the street? About 165 ind on the GSXR1K in
sparse far Eastern AZ in a 65 zone and 180 down the 5/8s mile straight
on the Firebird Lake main track. Considering 10% optimistic speedo
error. IOW about 160-162 MPH

I've never gone that fast on a motorcycle on the street or the
track. I got my 851 Superbike up to an indicated 142 on a long (2+
miles) straight on Interstate 66 near Front Royal, Virginia, at about
3AM ona December morning many years ago. That was probably about 130
or so actual miles per hour, which is the fastest I'ver ever gone on
the street. That was befroe repeal of the 55mph nmsl, iirc, so I was
probably going about 75mph over the posted speed limit.

I had my friend George's stock 2004 GSXR1000 up to an indicated 160 on
the main straight at Summit Point earlier this year, and I honestly
don't want to go that fast (whatever it actually was) on a
motorcycle. I had my S4Rs up to an indicated 150 that same day, and I
REALLY don't want to go that fast (whatever it actually was) on an
unfaired motorcycle. Even with no speed limits or traffic.

Can I change the question? What is the fastest you've ridden in a National
Park?

120mph indicated in Canyonlands. Island in the Sky District. No tourists
were harmed in this excersize.

Better question:

What's the highest speed to speed limit ratio you've done?

Me, not much, maybe 100 in a 45 zone so 100/45 = 2.22222222(etc)

To hell with the concealed weapon: I wanna see claymores strapped on each
side of the front wheel, pannier style!

(If you're gonna do a thing, do it right!)

He he, how do you quantify that? The most I've ever done on a public road
was an actual 164mph, but I wasn't speeding. I plead the 5th on anything
else.
