Well, thank you, I aspire to being The Fool.

The heck they don't. Remember Erik Astrup and his stupid pictures of empty
asphalt in Death Valley and how he described almost passing out from heat
exhaustion because he was wearing all that gear in the hot sun?
Have you ever visited pashnit.com? That nut has taken a picture of every
twisty road in California and now he wants people to pay $20 to subscribe to
his stupid site to look at pictures of empty asphalt and ground haze and
purple mountains.
Pashnut has no concept of the geography, geology, and biology of California,
he's only interested in the asphalt winding through it. Fortunately, he has
done little damage in the county I live in.
When somebody tells me that he went on a ride through magnificent scenery and
then describes the road in racetrack terms of hairpins and high speed
sweepers, I have to wonder why he didn't just go do a track day.

There are *many* places in this world that cannot be truly enjoyed with an
ignorant group that is pulling in different directions while trying to stay
together like a flock of geese.
For instance, some stupid tour members followed me from the Melia Granada to
the Capilla Real, because I seemed to have a plan.

I did have a plan. I knew that the tour group would not spend the time that I
wanted to spend there when they visited it the next day.
Then the idiots tagging along asked me what I was so interested in.
When I explained what it was that I was looking at in detail, one said, "He's
a walking encyclopedia, isn't he?"
Then they started discussing how to get back to the Melia, but they didn't
even know what the name of the hotel was, and they had left their room keys
with the concierge.
One of the idiots asked me what the name of our hotel was, and I just walked
away laughing.
I went over to the Alhambra and explored it, independantly.
