Not bad for so many broken bones + he'd prolly been taking opiates for
many years which hastens decline of some organs & body funtions.

Lung disease, liver transplant, hepatitis...

Love him or hate him, I am glad to say I got to see him perform in his
prime, about 1973 in KCMO. I guess it is one of the reasons I just love the
XR-750.

Maybe I'll go build a ramp and a fountain and do a jump in his honor.

Get one of these; it was my favorite toy for a long time.

I'm sure you could find a mini Caesar's Palace Fountain to make it safe and
fun!

Not bad? If someone had told me when I was a kid that Knievel would die
of old age I would have laughed at them.

I wonder what got him. He was around Tampa a lot and in fact some years
back had to have a liver transplant. he almost didn't make it through
that as a liver became available in a nick of time.

Oh he had a big drinking problem and had the transplant in 1999. He
probably lost a few years from the fast living...
