When do you plan on going? Denver is right along the way, isn't it?

I add a small crescent wrench so I have two of every size nut or bolt and a
few gallon size ziplock bags go into the tankbag.

That's great for guys who do a LOT of miles and trips, especially the adv
tourers. But me, a guy who only occasionally can break free for a 1k mi
trip, I carry a CO2 inflater and some plugs. I already plug my own cage
tires.

Nitrile gloves work for me. Quicker clean up and back on the road.

I think the plan is for the week of May 31st. Many of the same crew I
rode with in Moab are going. Some are going to trailer dual sports
and or road bikes. The plan is to stay at www.huntslodge.com
If I go, I'll probably just take I80 or I70 or maybe a parallel state
road to KCMO, stop long enough to say Hi to an old high school friend,
then on to Memphis to see my Aunt and cousins, then on to Tellico
Plains.
3 days to get there, three days to explore and then 3 days to get
home.
To make that kind of trip I will absolutely modify the F4i with some
kind of bar riser / handler bar kit.

Looks nice. You don't think it will be more than a little busy, that close
to the holiday? The "G-Men" spring rally is right around then, they are
basing out of Kentucky somewhere I think.

Right now, if I was going to do a 9 day trip, I'd do the PC highway from end
to end.

I need either a decent new shock on the 1100, or a better seat. Or both.

Nothing wrong with that idea, Troy. I have an extra bedroom, the track days
are running every weekend now, I don't have to work anymore, the track (3
tracks actually) is 10 miles via freeway, the closest canyon 25 miles via
freeway East and several more good roads within spitting distance. Also the
weather is great now.
Same offer to Bryan on his way too Bissbee or back. Frankly though Tomestone
is highly overrated but not Bisbee & Jerome that are combination old mining
towns and Hippie centers. Sedona & Oak Creek canyon are also right across
the valley from Jerome as well. Most are within 100 miles of PHX except
Tombstone & Bisbee to the Southeast of Tucson. Tucson is about 100 miles
South of PHX.

G-Men? Do you the Adventure Riders? Yeah they'll be in the area. Rumor
has it to book reservations early.

That's hauling ass from Denver. Besides the ride there are the people,
friends and family.
The ride across the Great Plains heading east can either be tedious or
interesting. Nah, it's all flat and straight, nothing for me to see or do
until I get home to MO.
The PCH stands alone. So much to see and do. Sorry East Coasters, but the
PCH just kills the I95 / 301/ Blueridge Parkway.
But, honestly, between the Appalachian (sp?) mountains, the West Coast from
Washington to SoCal, the Rockies, et al. This country is just too big to
really see and do it all. We is all a bunch of lucky fuckers.

The Corbin seat on the F4i is the tits. This old body just needs the stunta
handle bars. And hard bags. Man I wish I could find hard bags for the F4i.
That would be so much more economical than a new GT1000 Ducati.
