Simplest or best? Best would be to install MacOSX on it :-)

ROTFLMAO!!
That's beautiful, man. It would have fit right in on "Them Poems", too.
Mason Williams should re-release the album just to include this.

Re: OT - microsoft still off topic was: How do I format a XP box thebest way?
edi...@mxnewsfeed.com asks microsoft questions:

My turn. I'm updating Amy the Wonder Wife's box of
microcrap. New one is running Vista as much as an
experiment on my part as anything. That and it was
really cheap (refurb Compaq).
Old box has Win 95, email is Outlook Express. How the
hell do I get the emails into Vista Mail? Address book
and accounts were easy but the mailbox format seems
to have changed.
Anybody know a workaround?
Go fast. Take chances.

Hi Mike,
I never used Vista, so that might not work but...
Most email softwares have an export utility. I know that Outlook has
an utility to export the mailbox using a lot of formats, including
Access, Excel and comma separated text. Outlook Express, otoh, does
not do this, but it can export to the Outlook that comes with MS
Office. I just tested exporting a message from OE to Outlook and then
exporting my entire mailbox to an excel file. Vista is more modern and
all, so it might import the file. I know that Outlook does import
Excell, Access and comma separated text files. Maybe you could have
trouble if you do not have the Office Outlook, if you don't and really
want to go this route, I'd suggest researching a little software
called eMule... Perhaps the Outlook exports the PST file directly?
Here at work, as I have an Exchange server (the Outlook mail server),
it exports directly with no file generation...
Also, I am sure that somebody somewhere developed a free tool and
posted it to some obscure internet site... My motto regarding all
things computer is "I am not the first to have this problem and
somebody sure has solved it and posted the resolutions somewhere in
the 'net".
Good luck!

There is an import option under file... and a messages option under
that where you can choose from Exchange, Outlook, Outlook express 6 or
windows mail 7 formats.
Question is which Outlook Express were you running under 98... pre 6?
you may first have to find a way to convert them to OE6... then they
"should" import straight in.

Yeabut. Old box is Win 95 ninety five. Vista mail don't like it.
Don't like OE 5 either.
I'm going to try to import to XP on my machine then export
to something Vispuke can stomach. Not now.... back to work.
Go fast. Take chances.
