Default A sad (but not surprising) story

From an ad on Vancouver Craig's List:

-------------------------------------------------------------
x-rage for sale two days old 300$ broken dealer wont warrany
Date: 2007-11-27, 6:26PM PST

bought a cheap piece of crap and it broke in 2 days ....dealer wont
honour warranty

http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/mcy/491631830.html
-------------------------------------------------------------

However, here's an X-Rage dealer's blurb:

-------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine being able to afford a brand new dirt bike. No worries of who
and how it had been ridden. There is no reason why you need to spend an
extra thousand dollars or more, just for a name. X-Rage is a name you
can trust and afford. That is why we call our company "Within Your
Grasp".

Made with Honda parts and design, but hundreds of dollars cheaper and
more affordable to the average person, a person not wanting to buy
a used lemon. Who wants that? We all want new if we can afford it.
Now you can. Check them out and decide for yourself.

http://www.x-rage.ca/withinyourgrasp/
-------------------------------------------------------------

Caveat emptor.

Dealer won't honor warranty? hahaha What warranty do you want on a
$300 dirt bike. Or any dirt bike?

Do dirt bikes come with warranties?

This is the factory??? Any wonder? They should put their names on
the bikes like they do with some packs of underwear.

You can bet that when the red army invades the US all those soldiers
will seize our real bikes for the blitzkreig across America. The big
suprise for them is our seat heights are so tall they will never make
it very far. Tall for self defense.

My '96 XR250R came with a six-month Honda warranty. Not sure about
current models.

What dies the warranty actually cover? What if you race it and the
motor lets go?

A quick scan of honda.com - all I could find was:

> 6 months Coverage of defects in materials and workmanship

& that was on the CRF80

JayC - you recently bought a new CRF, did it come with a six-month
warranty?
