We had a "deal" but someone else showed up with more $ before I could
get there. Frustrating, but I don't blame the guy (we don't know each
other). At least he called to let me know before I drove up to get it.

I'm not really looking, but it seemed like an interesting diversion.

Thanks for the input everyone,
Craig

Bummer.

That is unusually nice of him in this day and age (unfortunate that
it's unusual).

I think you'd've had fun with it. I know I won't sell my '95 (of
course, I never sell anything), it just makes too good of a backup
bike. That being said, I really should pull it out and ride it once in
a while to keep everything lubed and limber.

You're welcome, sorry it didn't work out for you.

As long as you're actually riding -with- Murray and David, of course,
no problem. When parts fall off your bike, you can just bolt on their
old spares.

That reminds me - DJ, sorry, I've been forgetting weekly -- I'll get
your old brake pads in the mail to ya this weekend.

If you did that, I'd feel obliged to mail you your little vacuum
container you left on my the hood of my truck.

How 'bout we exchange things the next time we meet?

I got a chance to ride a friends '97 300 a little bit yesterday. My
impression is that it feels a lot heavier than my 98 and it is taller
than my 98. Taller and heavier would make it very hard for me to ride
in the rought stuff. But the motor ran strong... probably stonger than
my 98? I see no reason not to buy a good running 96 or 97 if you have
the height and strength to handle it.
