Default Benly fettling

I have an owners manual. It tells me really useful things like how to
start the engine.

What I can't find is a diagram that tells me how to get the sodding
side panels off.

Benly haynes manual on line anywhere?

I think they're called "TOG" around these parts.

I bet it doesn't tell you that "running the machine without oil is
punishable" as was barked at me in a particularly Teutonic manner in a Puch
Maxi manual I once had. Manuals just aren't fun any more.

If it's the same as every other small Honda of its era, you just pull them
off. They will each have three plastic nipples that push into rubber
grommets on the frame.

Fingers behind the panel though so they don't snap off.

There was a lovely bit about not letting other motorists surprise you.

I tried pulling but it didn't work and I didn't want to go for the
brute force and ignorance approach until I'd checked with the experts
in here.

Anyway off to drink real ale now, may try when I get back later.

Just pull them. Carefully, so as not to break the plastic lugs that clip
into the rubber grommets.

"Never carry an animal on this motorcycle" - Laverda RGS handbook, circa
1983.

Novel approach. If at first you don't succeed, neck a few pints and then
fucking show it who's boss.
