Default I am almost afraid to ask

The new (to me) Road King has Vance & Hines Ovals (slip ons). While
they sound great, they are probably too loud for my preference. But
the do sound great. :-)

Anyone know if the baffles in the Ovals can be repacked? I see from
their website the baffles are removable but it is silent on adding
more packing.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

I have the same mufflers but with the True Duals.
Base your loudness requirements on that. (yes, they're loud but not as
loud as the Reinharts)

I was told there are no baffle packs or replacements for them but I
will check again when I get to work.

On the positive side, you should be able to wrangle a free set of
stock pipes from a take off and just put on whatever H-D slip ons you
like from the catalogue.

Here is my advice. When we ride together, just stay behind me.

Hope this helps.

No.

If fact, I have a set of V&H Ovals in my garage. They are louder than fuck.
Want 'em? I'll sell 'em cheap.

I have True Duals on my RK, as well, I run them with Kerker slip ons. They
are fine.

The Ovals sure look good but the Kerkers are not as obnoxious.

Unless you're Kesti.

Well since I already have a set, I am thinking no.

I'll give them a try. I didn't find Bob's overly loud. I always knew
where he was, but they didn't set my ears to ringing.

Once I get a chance to ride for a bit with them I'll make up my mind.
If I don't like them I'll pick up something else. Too bad, because
they sure look great.

I think it is impossible to make those pipes quieter and that you
should give those pipes to me.

I may be looking into that this year.
I was thinking of getting a set of the SE Touring muffler slip ons.

Long trips on the highway have gradually made them louder.

Yes, they certainly do.
